frame input box

Purpose
To display or set the current frame of the animation.

Usage
Click the frame data input box to activate it (red outline). The following prompt will be displayed:

In response to this prompt enter the required frame number. Press <enter> to confirm.

Comments
This function is useful to switch to a specific frame to check the animation. It will also display the last frame that has been set with the fix event buttons, or the frame where the last animation preview was stopped.

Whenever an animation contains simulated solids like particles or dynamic spline-skins, they will be simulated if the frame number is changed to a new higher frame number. Because this might be time consuming, the simulation can be interupted by pressing '!', this sets the frame number to the desired new value but the simulation is not the same as when it was not interupted.
