Usage
Click the squash button to activate it. By holding the middle mouse button down while moving the mouse, the currently active part of the tree will change size along the specified axis or axes, while keeping the volume constant, until you press the left mouse button (right mouse button will cancel the last transformation). If the keyboard toggle button is active, you must enter numerical values to perform the size change. You will then see the following prompt in the status area:
x?
![]()
In response to this prompt, enter the size you want the currently active part of the tree to become in relation to the current size along the x axis. If you do not want to change the x size, press <Enter> to cancel. Do the same for the y and z axes.
Comments
When you enter values for each of the x, y and z directions, the result will be an average in order to keep the volume constant.
When no axis is active, transformations are relative to the current window.
When global or local axis is active, transformations are relative to the corresponding axis:
to transform in the y-z plane, activate cam1
to transform in the x-y plane, activate cam2
to transform in the z-x plane, activate cam3
By changing the current window all transformations are possible. If you only want to squash along one axis with the mouse, use the squash button in conjunction with the xy toggle button.
