Purpose
To display or change the diffuse intensity for the current attribute.
Usage
Click the intensity data input box to activate it (red outline),
and the
prompt will appear:

In response to this prompt, type the new value for the diffuse intensity.
Press <enter> to confirm.
If you type a '?' followed by <enter>, the selection submenu
will be
displayed where you can make your selection from the available file
maps
for the diffuse intensity.
Comments
The diffuse intensity indicates the level by which the color is diffusely
reflected from the surface of an object (not the same as reflection).
The
useful range of the diffuse intensity is from zero to one. Added
together,
the intensities for diffuse, transparency, and reflection should
be one.
Any value map can be entered in response to the prompt instead of
a single
numerical value.
